    All about the Chulu Far East Peak Climbing.

    Overview

    Chulu fare east peak is a famous climbing peak in the Annapurna region. Additionally, we also visit Muktinath and trek in the beautiful Manang valley of Nepal. our 20-day climbing treks start from Kathmandu where we meet our mountain guides and climbers teams. We drive to Besisahar and bhulbule the next day and start trekking from there. We enjoy views of different gurungs village and massif  Annapurna, Tilicho, and Gangapurna on our trek leading to chulu far east  Peak and summit the peak on the twelfth day of our journey.

    Chulu far east is (6,059m) we set the first basecamp at  4400m, which is the very best camping place first camp, and set high camp is at 5,400 meters on the open rocky part. From here our climbing mountain guide will set up all the necessary fix rope f and other. this peak climbing is not easy it’s much technical trekking peak, slope ice and there is much snow on the top of the summit.

    After summit peak, We cross Thorong La Pass which is the highest pass in the world, and reach Muktinath. Our Pisang Peak itinerary includes the beautiful Muktinath and Jomsom region which will be a worthwhile experience. From Jomsom, we fly to Pokhara and drive to Kathmandu.

    1. Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m/4,264 ft)

      We are met at the airport by our team and then transferred to our hotel. Briefing presenting the progress of the trek, then free time. In case of arrival in the morning, free day of rest or the possibility of making free visits for those who wish (not included). It is the perfect opportunity to immerse you in Nepalese culture, to test the local gastronomy.

    2. Day 02 Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

      Have breakfast and then you have the whole day to explore the best Kathmandu Sightseeing spots with your guide. You can visit and explore one of the most famous Shiva temples, Pashupatinath, recognized as the monkey temple; Swyambhunath, largest Stupa in the world, also called Boudhanath Stupa; and finally the Royal Palace, Kathmandu Durbar Square. The next day, you will begin your trek on the Annapurna Circuit, so you have to check your equipment to make sure that you are ready for your adventure and climb.

    3. Day 03 Drive to Bhulbhule(800 m): 7- 8 hours

      On this day, we will begin our journey after having breakfast, by following some beautiful hills on a winding road along the Tirshuli River. On the way to Khudi, we will get chances to admire terraced farms and beautiful huts. Around 7 to 8 hours’ trek will take you to Khudi, first arriving at the juncture at Mugling, then continuing straight ahead towards Pokhara. On the way, you will also pass Dumre, head north to Besisahar, and finally, reach Khudi, the starting point of our trek. As you reach Khudi, enjoy the majestic view of the of the impressive Manaslu range.

    4. Day 04 Trek from Bhulbhule to Jagat (1,300 m): 6 - 7 hours

      Have breakfast and continue to trek on a relatively easy trail, then pass behind the terraced village to hit forest, ferns, and woodland. As you follow the forest trail, you can enjoy the sound of birds chirping before our trek passes through several small villages and a few temples on the way. During our trek onwards, we will also cross several suspension bridges over Sangu Khola at Mipra then again at Syange over the Marshyangdi River. As the trail goes ahead, we will even get chances to witness and explore the waterfall near the bridge when the path joins the mighty Marshyangdi River. Afterward, we will cross one more bridge and eventually we will arrive at Jagat.

    5. Day 05 Trek from Jagat to Dharapani (1,960 m): 7-8 hours

      After breakfast, we will begin to slowly descend until we reach the beautiful river and then continue to trek through a lush forest. The trail starts to ascend and will lead us to a sharp-edged cliff facing the riverbank, with striking views of the Annapurna mountain range in the backdrop at Chyamje. We will then cross a suspension bridge and continue steeply climb upwards, which will be quite challenging until we will reach Sattale. After Sattale, we will again descend along a succession of rock-strewn trails and encounter beautiful Tal. The path from Tal is rugged and winding until we finally reach the steeply-forested village of Karte. Moving past Kharte, we will witness stunning waterfalls and cliffs and ultimately arrive at Dharapani after crossing a suspension bridge. Have dinner and stay overnight in Dharapani.

    6. Day 06 Trek from Dharapani to koto (2,710 m): 5 - 6 hours

      On this day, have an early breakfast and continue to trek through a few forested ridges on our way to Chame, the headquarters of the Manang District. For the whole day, the trail will offer you amazing views of the Himalayas including Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal, and Annapurna IV (7,525m/24,688ft), and so on. We will also get chances to bathe in a hot spring, where it is believed that bathing in the ancient waters will soothe your aching muscles. As you reach Chame, you can stroll around the village and explore the place.

    7. Day 07 Trek from koto to Pisang village (3,500 m): 5 - 6 hours

      Have breakfast and continue our trek on a steep and narrow trail through dense forest and a dramatic curved rock face, rising 1500 m above the river. On the way, many of the most breathtaking, highest mountains will accompany you. As you continue, the trek will lead you to where the valley opens, in which stands the Paungda Danda, a massive sloping rock face. A few hours walk from there will take you to lower Pisang

    8. Day 08 Trek from Pisang village to Ngawal village (3600m): 5-6 hours

      Today after a beautiful breakfast we will descant slightly to cross a river and then, climb steeply up until we reach Ghyaru village. After lunch in Ghyaru we will continue up and down to reach the Ngawal village while walking we have a majestic view of Annapurna range

    9. Day 09 Trek from Ngawal to Chulu Far East base camp (5000m) 6-7hours

      From the Ngawal to until the yak kharka we will slightly climb up and we will have a lunch. After from there,   will steeply ascent on rough trail until to base where we will set up our Base Camp. Once at the Base Camp, our team will set up the camp and make necessary preparation for shifting the camps into higher altitudes before attempting the main summit climb of Chulu Far East Peak.

    10. Day 10 Acclimatization day (5000m)

      Today we will take day rest at the base camp for acclimatization and it is very essential to ensure the successful summit of Chulu Far East Peak. So, we will spend our day acclimatizing and exploring around the base camp and our guide will give some training about a climbing rule. From the base camp, we can enjoy magnificent views of high Himalaya’s valleys.

    11. Day 11 Trek from base camp to high camp (5,350m) 3-4hrs

      After spending and enjoying a acclimatization day t at the base camp, we leave for our high camp. We will follow a rather difficult trail that climbs steeply through snow slopes. we keep climbing uphill with panoramic views of Annapurna Himalayan Ranges, Pisang Peak, Chulu East, Chulu West, and Chulu Far East and several snow-capped high peaks. After a few hours of the tiring climb, we will reach at a high camp. Our Sherpa team will set up the camps and make final checks on our climbing gears before the main summit climb.

    12. Day 12 Chulu Far East summit and return base camp

      Today after fully acclimatized and properly equipped with all the climbing gears we will move early in the morinig with the aim to reach the summit, as the strong winds after midday can create obstacles in reaching the summit. Following the Sherpa and instruction for our experienced climbing experts, we will overcome several technical sections and head towards the summit. Chulu Far East rewarded with breathtaking views of Annapurna Himalayan Ranges, Gangapurna, Manaslu, Pisang Peak and several snow-capped mountains. We will short short and quality time at the top of summit and then descend following the same route back to reach the base camp.

    13. Day 13 Trek from base camp to Manang (3500m): 6 - 7 hours

      After successfully summit of Chulu Far East Peak, we will return back to journey which is a decent downhill all the way to Manang. With majestic views of surrounding snow-capped peaks, we continue towards Manang village. Manang is well known for its rich culture and tradition. We will have the good opportunity to experience the traditional lifestyle of the manangi people while exploring the Manang village .

    14. Day 14 Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110 m): 3 - 4 hours

      On this day we will have breakfast and continue our trek towards Yak Kharka, which is situated at an elevation of 4110 meters. As we continue our trek, we will encounter various villages such as Manang village, Tenki, and Ghunsa as we follow a stream, and the Marshyangdi Valley, northwest up the valley of Jarsang Khola. The ensuing trail will follow some beautiful juniper trees, as we steadily gain elevation. The trail further passes through meadows where you can see horses and yaks grazing. Then you will cross a small river on a wooden bridge. Before you reach Yak Kharka, the trail passes an ancient Mani wall in a pleasant meadow.

    15. Day 15 Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,600 m): 3 - 4 hours

      After breakfast, we will begin our journey onwards to Thorong Phedi, which lies at its highest point at 4600 meters. Today we have to make an uphill walk to reach Thorang Phedi. During our climb, the trail will offer us a beautiful suspension bridge to cross and take us to vibrant Ledar Village. Our trail ascends further and passes through towering cliffs before reaching Thorang Phedi. As you reach Thorang Phedi, the Phedi will reward you with the magnificent views of Mt. Gundang, Thorung Peak, Mt. Syagang, Mt. Khatungkan, and many more. Have dinner with splendid views of the mountains and stay overnight in the guest house at Thorang Phedi.

    16. Day 16 Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3,800 m) via Thorong La pass (5416 m): 7 - 8 hours

      This morning after having breakfast, we will continue our journey as usual. Early in the morning, we will hike to reach one of the highest passes, Thorong La, where we will be stunned by the view that the pass offers us. You can capture so many breathtaking photos of the scenery and the beautiful peaks lining the horizon. After exploration, you can make your way on foot straight to Muktinath. Around 7 to 8 hours’ trek will take you to this most sacred place, where you can explore the famous temple

    17. Day 17 Muktinath to Jomsom (2,670 m): 4 - 5 hours

      Before having breakfast, we will visit Muktinath, an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists alike. We will explore Vishnu Temple and a Gompa situated nearby. We will also take a bath in the 108 waterspouts, where it is believed that once you bath in the waters, it guarantees salvation after death. After exploration, you will descend to Ranipauwa village by following a steep and barren hillside to reach Kagbeni. As you reach Kagbeni, you will trek to Marpha by following the Jomsom. Today’s trail will offer so many surreal sights as we hike along a plateau above the Kali Gandaki River, the world’s deepest gorge, the barren landscape which resembles Tibet, and so much more. At Marpha, you can visit the apple orchards and taste different foods made from apples.

    18. Day 18 flight or drive Jomosom (2,720 m) - Beni - Pokhara (9 15 m)

      Road to Beni then Pokhara by bus or 4×4 depending on availability. We will Departure early in the morning to Beni by a difficult track.  We drive the long road along the Kali Gandaki River and Enjoying Impressive landscapes with its waterfalls, high mountains, and gorges, the deepest in Nepal. During this journey, you will pass through typical Nepalese villages. Arrival in Beni change of transport, the road to Pokhara the big city.

    19. Day 19 Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1300m). 6-7hours

      Warm Breakfast and then transfer to the airport and Flight to Pokhara / Kathmandu. After reach  in Kathmandu and transfer at the hotel. Free afternoon,  rest, or the possibility to visit the tourist district of Thamel for those who wish

    20. Day 20 Final Departure to International Airport

      We will drive you back to Tribhuvan International Airport for your scheduled flight to your destination.

    Hotels, Tea Houses and Lodges

    Accommodation in Kathmandu will be in a 3 or 4-star hotel.

    Accommodation during the trek will be in tea house or lodges. Some accommodations at lower altitudes offer fully equipped rooms with electricity, western toilet facility, wi-fi, and hot showers. Whereas some tea houses, especially at the higher altitude offer very basic kind of services.

    You will be accommodated on a twin-basis during the trek. Most single rooms have twin beds with some basic furniture like a small table or a chair. If you want a single room for yourself, let us know in advance before the trek.

    Normally, beds contain pillow and sheets. Almost all tea houses provide blankets but it is advisable to use your sleeping bag which will be provided by us in case it becomes too cold.

    Some tea houses especially those at lower altitudes have proper western toilets. As you move higher some tea houses use squat toilet facilities. Also, it is important to know that some tea houses do not provide toilet paper in the toilets.

    In higher altitudes, you will usually have to pay extra for charting electronic devices or taking a hot shower. Laundry services are also available in some lodges at an extra price. Wifi cards can also be bought at these lodges. There are multiple options available depending on the data limit and speed.
