    Dhaulagiri Expedition

The Dhaulagiri expedition, popularly known as the “White Mountain Expedition” takes you to an elevation of 8,167 meters above sea level. Located in the Northwest of the Myagdi District of Nepal, Mt. Dhaulagiri is the 7th highest mountain in the world which extends about 120 km from Kaligandaki River to the Bheri River in the west. This mountain is considered the highest mountain in Nepal that lies totally within the boundary of Nepal. In between Mount Dhaulagiri I and Mount Annapurna I, Kaligandaki Gorge is formed, which is the deepest gorge in the world. This mountain is considered to be one of the most fascinating peaks and the most climbed eight-thousander in Nepal. A team of Swiss Mountaineers was the first to reach the summit of Dhaulagiri on May 13th 1960.
Real Sherpa Adventures offers a world-class, well-equipped and well-managed Dhaulagiri expedition package to enthusiastic mountaineers who love to experience the real mountaineering journey in Nepal. We will provide all necessary expedition ermits, climbing documentation, traveling logistics including air and land fares, porters, and tour guides. You will be guided by experienced, professional, and English-speaking tour guides. Experience our service and feel the difference! When compared to other expeditions in Nepal, Dhaulagiri is quite a technically challenging climb, where every climber should undergo training and know some technical skills about climbing such as fixing rope, climbing on ice and glaciers, and more.

    Mount Dhaulagiri Expedition

Lying in the northwest of Pokhara and to the east of the Annapurna Himalayan range, Pokhara is considered the gateway to the Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Annapurna expeditions. As you climb to Dhaulagiri, you will find several mountain villages, varied shops, and tea houses on the way. Here you will get an opportunity to encounter the local peoples of the Mountains. Their warm hospitality and friendly behavior will add more excitement on your Expedition to climb Dhaulagiri in Nepal. The Dhaulagiri Expedition will also offer you excellent views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri, Thorong peak, Annapurna I and others in the vicinity during your climb. Crossing amazing high passes – namely French pass (5360 m) and Dhampus pass (5,182 m) – before reaching the Base Camp is another major attraction of this expedition. These two highest passes also provide you with a spectacular view of the Dhaulagiri massif that displays the beauty and wilderness of Nepal’s remote area; truly an adventure for any trekking enthusiast.

    Climbing route of Dhaulagiri Expedition!

The Mount Dhaulagiri expedition will begin after exploring the major highlights of Kathmandu. Afterwards, you will drive to Darbang by following Beni. As you reach Darbang after a long drive, you’ll trek across a splendid trail before arriving at the first base camp. There’ll be three more camps and a final Advanced Base Camp before you attempt to scale the summit of Dhaulagiri.
