  1. Day 01 Welcome to Nepal via Tribhuvan International Airport

    Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, one of our staff members will be waiting at the exit gate to welcome you and take you to the hotel, where you will rest for a while. Our team will be waiting to meet you at our office. In the evening, you will have a welcome dinner along with our team in a typical Nepali restaurant, where you can taste real Nepali food and view a live traditional dance. Also, you will meet our team and your tour guide during a short meeting.

    Note: Dinner and an introductory meeting will be organized as per your arrival time. If it is not the day of your arrival, it will be postponed for the next day.

  2. Day2 One-day Short Kathmandu Trip and Trek Orientation

    You will have an entire day of sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley, the capital city of Nepal. After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, your tour guide will take you to the world-famous historical and religious tourist sites of Nepal: thePashupatinath Temple, the Swayambunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. All these sites are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Returning from this short trip, you will have time to rest, and then there will be an orientation meeting on trekking in the Everest region. The session will focus on providing information about trekking in Nepal and answer your questions. Please, check your equipment after the meeting and let us know if you need any equipment. We will help you buy any necessary trekking gear.

  3. Day 03 : Flight to Tenzing Hillary Airport (Lukla) at 2,800m and Trek to Phakding at 2,652m

    Flight Time: 40 minutes, Trekking Time: 3 to 4 hours

    A breathtaking flight to Lukla over the lush green valleys and towering snow-clad peaks takes you to the beautiful Tenzing Hillary airstrip of Lukla. After having lunch and enjoying a brief rest, we will walk along the farmlands, the quaint Cheplung village, and the banks of the DudhKoshi River. The trail passes through a moderate incline and downhill path until it reaches the beautiful Phakding village from Lukla.

  4. Day 04 Trek to Namche Bazaar at 3,440m

    Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours

    This day’s trail passes over many suspension bridges across the DudhKoshi River before reaching the entrance of the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park at Monjo. The trail then crosses the dense forest bedecked with rhododendrons where we will encounter endangered Himalayan wildlife. An uphill trek up to the Namche Bazaar takes you to the most popular trekking stop of the Khumbu region. The Namche Bazaar is a gateway to the Everest region which offers your first sight of Mt. Everest and the other surrounding peaks.

  5. Day 05 First Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

    This is your first day to acclimatize yourself to the higher elevation properly. To avoid altitude sickness, we will do a short hike up to the Sherpa Museum and Everest View Hotel. Hiking up to the local Sherpa museum will provide you with some extra information about the culture, festivals, and history of the Sherpa people along with the information about the diverse flora and fauna found in the Khumbu region. Furthermore, hiking up to the Everest View Hotel offers you beautiful views of Mt. Everest at 8,848m and the entire Khumbu valley. After returning to Namche, you will have time to rest.

  6. Day 06 Trek to Tengboche at 3,870m

    Trekking Time: 5 to 6 hours

    After having your breakfast and witnessing the beautiful sunrise views over the radiant mountains, we will continue our trek to Tengboche. The trail passes through the rhododendron and pine forests and crosses the festooned bridge over the DudhKoshi River. On the way, small, attractive villages adorned with prayer flags will appear. While trekking, enjoy the views of many mountains such as Mt. Everest at8,848m, Mt. Lhotse at 8,414m, Mt. Nuptse at 7,861m, Mt. Thamserku at 6,608m, Mt. AmaDablam at 6,856m, and Mt. KongdeRi. First, we will descend towards the ImjaKhola and then ascend to reach Tengboche, which is famous for the largest monastery in Khumbu valley.

  7. Day 07 Trek to Dingboche at 4,360m

    Trekking Time: 5 to 6 hours

    Before heading along further trekking trails, we will visit the Tengboche monastery where you can enjoy fantastic sunrise views, including the Himalayan ranges along the backdrop of the monastery. After returning, we will descend along the rhododendron forests, cross a suspension bridge over the ImjaKhola, and ascend towards the Pangboche village. A further climb leads you to the vast fertile landscape of Dingboche. The trail passes through several chortens—Buddhist shines, Mani walls, and small traditional villages. Here you can witness the mountain views, especially Mt. AmaDablam.

  8. Day 08 Second Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

    This will be another acclimatizing day for altitude in the beautiful village of Dingboche, which is a popular resting point for many Everest trekkers. Rather than rest all day, a hike up to nearby places will be good for to properly adapting yourself to the higher elevation. Hiking up to Chhukung or NangkartshangGompa will provide you with an excellent view of Mt Makalu at 8,463m, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Tawache, and Mt. AmaDablam. Upon your return from your hike, you can interact with the local people to experience the Himalayan lifestyle and warm hospitality.

  9. Day 09 Trek to Chhukung at 4,730m/15,518ft.

    Trek Duration: 3 to 4 hours.

    Chhukung is considered the gateway to the Island Peak Base Camp Trek. After having breakfast, we will trek upwards and down via Dughla, going through the ImjaKhola valley, Bibre (a Yak herdsman place), and the beautiful village of Dingboche. After reaching the Chhukung village, enjoy the magnificent views of Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, and Mt. AmaDablam.

  10. Day 10 Trek to Lobuche at 4,910m/16,109ft via Kongma La Pass at 5,540m/18,175ft.

    Trek Duration: 6 to 7 hours.

    Early in the morning, we will start our trek to reach the highest pass of the trek. Continuing our walk, we will enter a wide basin dotted with small frozen lakes. Today, we will have to carry our water bottles and food as there is no tea house along the trail. After reaching the top of the highest pass, witness the beautiful landscapes of icy lakes. Also, at the top, you will encounter Buddhist prayer flags. After exploring Kongma La Pass, you will hike north of the Khumbu Glacier to reach Lobuche.

  11. Day 11 Trek to Gorakshep at 5,180m/16,995ft and Hike to Everest Base Camp at 5,365m/17,601ft.

    Trek Duration: 3 to 4 hours and 2 to 3 hours.

    There are a lot of ascents and descents along the trail up to EBC. After having breakfast, the trek continues towards GorakShep. Although a bit of a challenging walk, you will accomplish your dream of witnessing the world’s highest mountain from its closest point. The trail passes through the streams, moraine, and rocky hills. Using your equipment and staying with the crew is highly recommended. Enjoy the spectacular views of Mt. Everest and other mountains from the base. Also, witness the breathtaking sunset view over the towering peaks. Capture the moments and scenery with your camera, and celebrate your success at the highest point! Afterward, we will return to GorakShep.

  12. Day 12 Trek to Kala Patthar at 5,545m/18,193ft and Trek to Dzonglha at 4,832m/15,848ft. Trek Duration: 2 to 3 hours and 4 to 5 hours.

    To witness the majestic view of Mt. Everest and the surrounding highest mountains on Earth, we need to start our trek early in the morning. Today’s trek comprises both ascending and descending climbs.  The view from Kala Patthar is astonishing as it offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Mt. Everest at 8,848m and surrounding mountains, like Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. AmaDablam, Mt. Thamserku, and others. After spending some memorable and rewardable moments in Kala Patthar, we will descend to Dzonglha.

  13. Day 13 Trek to Cho La Pass at 5,421m/17,783ft and Trek to Thangnak at 4,700m/15,420ft. Trek Duration: 3 to 4 hours and 2 to 3 hours.

    Today also, we need to start our trek before sunrise. The trail might be a bit difficult due to the high altitude and steep, loose, rocky terrain. Reaching the Cho La Pass, enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding peaks and the glacier valley. Then, we will descend to Thangnak.

  14. Day 14 Trek to Gokyo at 4,750m/15,584ft. Trek Duration: 4 to 5 hours.

    Trekking to the Gokyo valley, we will have to cross Khara, Pangka, and Ngozumpa glacier. This glacier is the longest glacier (36km) in Nepal. In the Gokyo valley, there are a series of six lakes, and the third one is Gokyo Lake. Cho Oyu Mountain sits astride the Gokyo Lake and presents a fantastic sight for nature and photography lovers. At the evening, explore around the valley!

  15. Day 15 Trek to GokyoRi at 5,463m/17,921ft. Trek Duration: 2 to 3 hours.

    Today, after having breakfast, we have a steep climb up to the top of GokyoRi. Reaching the top of GokyoRi offers you not only the stunning views of the Gokyo valley, longest glacier, but also Ngozumpa, the Khumbu Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and many others.

  16. Day 16 Trek to Renzo La Pass at 5,345m/17,536ft and Trek to Lungden at 4,380m/14,370ft. Trek Duration: 6 to 7 hours (total).

    Today’s trek is long but along a level trail terrain. From the top of the Renzo La Pass, see the mesmerizing views of Mt. Everest and surrounding peaks. Then, we will descend to a remote northern valley where you might meet Tibetan traders on our way to Lungden.

  17. Day 17 Trek to Thame at 3,804m/12,467ft. Trek Duration: 3 to 4 hours.

    After having breakfast, we trek down to Thame. While on our descent, you will notice the amazing snow peaks. Thame is a traditional Sherpa village which has one of the oldest picturesque monasteries, about 150 meters above the village. It resides on the side of a hill overlooking the valley. This place is undisturbed from hikers.

  18. Day 18 Trek to Namche Bazaar Trekking Duration: 4 to 5 hours

    Today we will trek down to ImjaKhola, where we will cross suspension bridges over the DudhKoshi River, dense forests decked with rhododendrons, and pass a chorten-Buddhist shrine, until we reach Namche Bazaar. On the way, you will view many native plants and wild animals. The Namche Bazaar is an attractive trade hub for the Tibetan and Nepalese. Feel free to roam around the local market, visit the Sherpa museums, and interact with the local people.

  19. Day 19 Trek to Lukla Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours

    The last day of your trek continues with the steep downhill trail to Lukla. You will have to amble to avoid injury. We will cross the suspension bridges over the DudhKoshi River, pass the rhododendron forests, and enjoy the snowy mountains views for the last time before reaching Lukla.

  20. Day 20 Fly to Kathmandu

    Once again, you will enjoy the breathtaking, scenic flight over the snow-capped mountains and lush green landscapes. After reaching the airport, you will be transported to the hotel. After checking in to your hotel, you can rest for a while, and visit the most delightful tourist hub, Thamel. At the night, we will have dinner hosted by Real Sherpa Adventures to celebrate the success of our team.

  21. Day 21 Final Departure

    Today you will depart from Nepal. After your breakfast, our staff will drop you off at the Kathmandu International Airport. We hope to see you again! Have a safe journey!

Hotels, Tea Houses and Lodges

Accommodation in Kathmandu will be in a 3 or 4-star hotel.

Accommodation during the trek will be in tea house or lodges. Some accommodations at lower altitudes offer fully equipped rooms with electricity, western toilet facility, wi-fi, and hot showers. Whereas some tea houses, especially at the higher altitude offer very basic kind of services.

You will be accommodated on a twin-basis during the trek. Most single rooms have twin beds with some basic furniture like a small table or a chair. If you want a single room for yourself, let us know in advance before the trek.

Normally, beds contain pillow and sheets. Almost all tea houses provide blankets but it is advisable to use your sleeping bag which will be provided by us in case it becomes too cold.

Some tea houses especially those at lower altitudes have proper western toilets. As you move higher some tea houses use squat toilet facilities. Also, it is important to know that some tea houses do not provide toilet paper in the toilets.

In higher altitudes, you will usually have to pay extra for charting electronic devices or taking a hot shower. Laundry services are also available in some lodges at an extra price. Wifi cards can also be bought at these lodges. There are multiple options available depending on the data limit and speed.
