    Overview

    Larkya Peak is a very satisfying peak to climb in combination with the Manaslu Circuit Trek. It offers fairly technical  climbing with fabulous views of Manaslu.  This Climbing offers you to traverse a recently opened trekking route by the Government of Nepal in the Manaslu valleys. The trek rewards us with the unspoiled natural beauty along with the combination of rich culture and diverse biological diversity.

    It is the path along the purity land of the diversified culture and ravishing bio-diversity.  Considered to be the great option for the ones who desire the thrill of a strenuous climb Larkya Peak Climbing is a wonderful trip through ethnic villages offering your insight upon their history and heritage.

    Mt. Manaslu, the Himlung Himal, Ganesh Himal, Annapurna, and other magnificent peaks are full in sight from the Larkya Peak climb. There is three summits, include Sano Larkya Peak, Larkya North and  Thulu Larkya Peak. In this climb will be summit Thulu Larkya Peak. Thulu Larkya Peak is a technical climb and physical challenge, however, an experienced guide will be there to accompany and offer any necessary assistance.

    1. Day 01 Arrive in Kathmandu(1350m)

      Our representatives will greet you and take you to your hotel. After check-in, you can take some rest. We will introduce to your guide and greet you with some welcome drinks. In the evening, you can stroll around the Thamel Bazaar and familiarize yourself with the place. Attend a short orientation provided by our representative about the Annapurna Circuits Trek. Have a welcome dinner with our team and stay overnight in the hotel at Kathmandu.

    2. Day 02 Sightseeing trip / Trek preparation

      Have breakfast and then you have the whole day to explore the best Kathmandu Sightseeing spots with your guide. You can visit and explore one of the most famous Shiva temples, Pashupatinath, recognized as the monkey temple; Swyambhunath, the largest Stupa in the world, also called Boudhanath Stupa; and finally the Royal Palace, Kathmandu Durbar Square. The next day, you will begin your trek on the Annapurna Circuit, so you have to check your equipment to make sure that you are ready for your adventure and climb. Have dinner and stay overnight in the same hotel in Kathmandu.

    3. Day 03 Drive soti kola

      From Kathmandu, we drive west towards Pokhara, following the zigzag road over the valley and alongside the Trisuli and Budi Gandaki River. We will have fun with clear views of the Ganesh Himal and Shringi Himal as we cross through many villages before reaching sotikhola.

    4. Day 04 Trek from soltikhola To Khorlabesi (970m)

      Today first hiking of trek, we follow a road track and continue ups and downs through the forest as we continue to head upstream along the Budi Gandaki. We descend to the wide, sandy riverbed for lunch then continue along a winding mountain path overlooking the river. After crossing many suspension bridges, we stop in the small village of Khorlabesi.

    5. Day 05 Trek from khorla basi to Jagat (1340m)

      After walking 2hours we will cross a hot spring called ”Tatopani”. The rough trail follows a forested area after towards Dovan. Below Dovan, there is a huge rapid at Budhi Gandaki. As the elevation increases, the rapids and the scenery undergoes a complete transformation. At Jagat, there is a  check-post where your trekking permit will be checked by the official.

    6. Day 06 Trek From Jagat To Deng (1860m)

      Today will be a long day, we will walk on a narrow rugged trail from chisopani.  the trails follow alongside scenic views of natural waterfalls and rustic villages. Continuing walk on narrow gorges also has a chance to meet mules on the very narrow trail. The trail takes us through pine forest scattered with rhododendron:

    7. Day 07 Trek from dang to Ghap (2100m)

      We’ll be following the trail upstream of Deng River – a tiny village. we will cross a suspension bridge and climb 30 minutes steeply up and reach to Rana village and Bhi Phedi where we have lunch.  We walk through a narrow and rough path, from here, thus avoiding the traditional steep climb. At Ghap, the Tibetan culture starts with Mani stones and Chortens all around.

    8. Day 08 Trek From Ghap To Lho (3200m)

      We will be crossing the bridge over the river Budhi Gandaki and we follow the path lined with houses that are interspersed with cultivated fields. We will be walking in the pine forest and slightly climb up to Namrung. At Namrung, there is a check post and again our permit and belonging will be checked if necessary.  We across the different village shyo, lhi then arrive a lho village with a beautiful view of Naike peak, Manaslu north (7,774m), and Manaslu (8,150m) which are visible if the weather is clear.

    9. Day 09 Trek From Lho To Sama Gaon (3500m)

      From the lho village, we can views Mt. Manaslu very near. Continue climbing on pine forest we reach to shyala and sama village, and we walk along grassy slopes a which finally gives way to cultivated fields of Sama village. The trail takes us out of the grasslands and into the wider territory as we skirt around some glacial moraine then descend to the riverbed. The view of Manaslu is superb today.

    10. Day 10 Acclimatization Day

      Today has been set aside for acclimatization. There is an optional walk up the ridge below Manaslu to base camp (4500m), approximately 1500ft, in snow, to gain spectacular views of Manaslu, glaciers, and lakes

    11. Day 11 Trek From Sama To Samdo (3850m)

      incredible mountain views during the walk up to Samdo with an easy three hours trekking. We will pass the long mani walls at Kermo Kharka, after which we spot the entrance chorten of Samdo high on a bluff. We descend to the Budi Gandaki and cross a small wooden bridge before another short steep climb to the entrance of Samdo; There is a small old Gompa in the mid-village which we visited during our last village.

    12. Day 12 Trek To Dharamsala / Larkya Phedi (4460m)

      We leave on the trade route to Tibet and climb through the ruins of Larkya bazaar, one of the trade markets that flourished years back. After two hours of climbing passing glaciers, with increasingly awe-inspiring panoramas, we come to the campsite at Dharamsala, where we have lunch and gaze out at the views. You’ll feel the altitude and the cold here, so enjoy a more leisurely afternoon and keep warm. We’ll have an early dinner in preparation for our pass crossing tomorrow.

    13. Day 13 Trek Larkye Phedi To Larkye Peak Base Camp

      It will take around 5-6 hours to reach the Larkye peak base camp from Phedi. You’ll be already seeing snow and snowcapped mountains in the surroundings.

    14. Day 14-17 Climbing period of Larkya Peak 6010m

      We allow plenty of time to be acclimatized before the summit attempt for the Larkye Peak. On summit day, we will depart for the summit before dawn. The climb up to the summit is quite steep and it takes 6-7 hours. The reward at the summit is one of the world’s most spectacular mountain views you will ever experience. We will then make our way down.

    15. Day 18 Trek from Dharamsala - Cross Larkya La (5140) to Bhimtang (3590m) 3/4hrs

      Early morning, after a short ascent, we will reach on the north side of the Larkya Glaciers from where we can enjoy great views of Cho Danda and Larkya Peak. It takes us approximately 4- 5 hours to reach the larkya pass. we walk across moraines glacier From the pass, there are outstanding views of Himlung Himal (7126m), Chap Himal, Gyaji Kang, Kang Guru (6981m), and Annapurna II (7937m). The descent from the pass is very steep across ice and scree as we follow the glacier. Progress is slow and careful but eventually, we enter the valley of the Burdin Khola and continue to Bimtang and our camp for the night.

    16. Day 19 Trek from bhimthang To Tilchee village (2300m).. 6/7 hours.

      The trail now basically follows the Marsayangdi downstream, before entering a pristine forest of pine and rhododendron which during the spring months puts on a brilliant display of color. Keep your camera handy today as the views of the Himlung and Manaslu Himal are again spectacular.

    17. Day 20 Drive from Tilchee to Kathmandu (1700m)

      Today we pass through a few small villages where we meet the road goes to the Annapurna circuit which is inside the Annapurna conservation area. we will directly drive to Kathmandu.

    18. Day 21 Departure

      Today is your final day in Nepal with us. It is time to fly back to your home, keeping all your exhilarating experiences of Nepal in mind. Our representative will help you to find your gate and drop you off at the airport 3 hours ahead of your flight. We hope we will meet again on your next adventures in the wonderful country of Nepal.     Hotels, Tea Houses and Lodges

    Accommodation in Kathmandu will be in a 3 or 4-star hotel.

    Accommodation during the trek will be in tea house or lodges. Some accommodations at lower altitudes offer fully equipped rooms with electricity, western toilet facility, wi-fi, and hot showers. Whereas some tea houses, especially at the higher altitude offer very basic kind of services.

    You will be accommodated on a twin-basis during the trek. Most single rooms have twin beds with some basic furniture like a small table or a chair. If you want a single room for yourself, let us know in advance before the trek.

    Normally, beds contain pillow and sheets. Almost all tea houses provide blankets but it is advisable to use your sleeping bag which will be provided by us in case it becomes too cold.

    Some tea houses especially those at lower altitudes have proper western toilets. As you move higher some tea houses use squat toilet facilities. Also, it is important to know that some tea houses do not provide toilet paper in the toilets.

    In higher altitudes, you will usually have to pay extra for charting electronic devices or taking a hot shower. Laundry services are also available in some lodges at an extra price. Wifi cards can also be bought at these lodges. There are multiple options available depending on the data limit and speed.
