    Overview

    Naya Kang (5844m) is also known as Ganja la chuli, situated in the high Himalayan landscape in the Langtang region northern part of Nepal. It is immensely located over the Langtang Valley and south of the frozen lake Gosainkund. This famous climbing trip is connected with the Langtang Valley Trekking. The Naya Kanga Peak Climbing offers a journey through the Tibetan-influenced villages in Langtang with a massive range of biodiversity also the trail goes through the Oak and rhododendron forest of the Langtang National Park

    Situated very close to the Kathmandu valley, the trail begins with dense forests of rhododendron, oak, and slowly leads to a much rockier and marshy land. Trekking through Ghoratabela, Langtang village, and Kyanjin Gumpa then, we will hike to Tserko Ri (4984m) viewpoint to view the stunning Langtang valley and the Himalayan range. Then, we continue our climbing trip to the summit of the kayaking. Then we set our high camp at (4800m) and provide necessary climbing skills and training, How to use crampons, ice axe, and rope and climb Naya Kang peak summit next day.

This Langtang region is also equally rich in culture and tradition within itself the worshippers of the Buddhist faith. Buddhism can be felt through the many prayer flags, wheels, monasteries, and Chorten that people have placed along the way.     Naya Kanga Peak one of the lesser climbed peaks and it does not require technical skill. But commonly need to have is superb physical fitness because you have to walk up and down also you will be in the remotest area you can imagine

    1. Day 01 Arrive Kathmandu (1300m)

      Arrival in Kathmandu, we are greeted at the airport by our local team and transferred to the hotel, to take advantage of a time of rest, briefing of presentation of the progress of the trek, then free time. In case of arrival in the morning, free day: rest or the possibility of making free visits for those who wish. This is the perfect opportunity to immerse you in Nepalese culture and to test the local gastronomy.

    2. Day 02 Drive from Kathmandu to shyabru besi (14060m). 8-9hour

      As soon as we leave Kathmandu, the road rises and crosses a small pass at Kakani, at 2145 meters above sea level. On a clear day, the panorama is superb: on our left the Annapurna II, the Manaslu, and in front of us the Ganesh Himal massif. The road then plunges down to the wide valley of the Trisuli to arrive at the large village of the same name. Then we go back up by a winding road to Shyabru Bensi with a stop in Kalikhastan, the entry point into Langtang National Park.

    3. Day 03 Trek from shyabru to lama hotel (2470m). 6-7hour

      Beginning of the trek, we cross the village of Shyabru, then terraced crops and a thick forest of oak, alder, and bamboo. We change banks by crossing the Langtang Khola River, by a wide suspension bridge. Some climbs and descents in landslides make this day not monotonous, despite the few visible dwellings in this wooded region. We cross the tumultuous Langtang Khola again before starting a steep climb up to Rimche, at 2,250 meters. The descent towards Changtang, called “Lama Hotel” (name of the first lodge built in this hamlet) is finally gentle.

    4. Day 04 Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang (3400m). 5-6hour

      We gradually climb into the forest and a few openings between the trees let us contemplate the limpid blue river below. Then, around a clearing, the Langtang Lirung (7,246 m) appears, majestic. The trail crosses a suspension bridge and then climbs in the middle of yak meadows to Ghoratabela, a pastoral village mainly occupied by Tibetans. The trail climbs steadily within the valley widening as we progress. We come across several typically Tamang houses, as well as the first Manis, the prayer walls. Arrival in Langtang, a village recognizable by its Tibetan-style houses with flat roofs, is imminent.

    5. Day 05 trek from langtang to Kyanjin gumpa (3870m). 4-5hour

      The path winds through the largest village in the valley and joins a ridge dominated by a large square Chorten and its long prayer wall. From there, access to a small moraine allows you to contemplate the Kyanjin gumpa: the site is magnificent. Then we will descent towards the lodges and the local cheese factory.

      In the afternoon, the possibility of making an excursion to Kyanjin Ri (4773 m) which offers a remarkable point of view: Langtang Lirung (7227 m), Yala Peak (5050 m), Langshisha Ri (6560 m), massif from Urkeinmang Himal (6143 m), among many other peaks. If you do not want to make this excursion, you can go up the wide Langtang valley, which rises very gently, towards the summer pastures of the yaks.

    6. Day 06 Acclimatization day ascent to Tserogo Ri (4984m). 7-8 hour

      Day dedicated to the discovery of the upper Langtang valley and acclimatization for the summit. The Tsergo Ri, from where the wide mountain and lower view can observe. Langtang Lirung (7246 m), Naya Kanga (5846 m), Dorje Lakpa (6966 m), Langshisa Ri (6427 m), Ganchenpo (6378 m), and, in the distance, the summit of Shishapangma (8013 m.

    7. Day 07 Trek from Kyanjin Gumpa to Nyengang Kharka ( 4430m).5hour

      Following trekking trail with juniper shrubs and descending a to cross the Langtang River. We will walk our way to Ngegang yak kharka. This trek gives majestic views of the Langtang Lirung (7227m) as well as the Langtang glacier on the opposite. One must keep an eye for spotting various rare animals like The snow leopard, red panda, and other species call this region their home and flora and fauna.

    8. Day 08 Trek from Nyengang Kharka to High Camp (4960m). 4hour

      We will walk continue on steep grounds as we ascent to reach the High camp. The trail is rocky and the icy landscape makes this area particularly tricky to walk and one must be very careful on. Again we will have magnificent views of a panoramic mountain view as we reach the high camp. Mountains include Langtang (7,227m), Tserko Ri (4984m), Yala peak (5,500m), and others.

    9. Day 09 Climb to Summit 5844m and back to Nyengang Kharka 4430/9hrs

      Before sunrise and after a warm breakfast we will start to ascent peak. The climbing route Following a steep from the north side, we will walk for a good amount of time before reaching the summit. With 360 degrees of mountain views and this makes for a brilliant photo session and a time to take pride in oneself for having completed it. From the top, we will see the entire Langtang Lirung Massif, the glaciers, Tserko Ri (4984m), Yala peak (5500m), Shishapangma (8013) and Dorje Lakpa (6966m), and so on. Once we spend enough time up here, we will make our way down to Nyengang Kharka.

    10. Day 10 Trek from Nyengang Kharka to Kyanjin Gumpa (3730m). 4 hour

      A relatively short trek today, we will descend downhill to cross a Langtang river by a suspension bridge. Then, We will ascend for a while with beautiful scenery and pass beautiful chhona lake before reaching Kyanjin Gumpa.

    11. Day 11 Trek from Kyanjin to lama hotel (2470m). 4-5hour

      we will descend back to Lama Hotel and take about four to five hours. Slowly, we will descend with enjoying the beautiful views and alpine vegetation. The majority of the trekking route runs along the Langtang River. We will explore and wander around the villages on our way.

    12. Day 12 Trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo shyabru (2250m). 6-7 hour

      Descent by following the Langtang Khola and The path is a little rough in the middle of the ferns. We come out on a sumptuous belvedere. Sometime later, we arrive at a ledge and see the village of Thulo Shyabru. Hanging from a ridge with its white chorten at the entrance to the village, it is a beautiful belvedere on the foothills of Tibet. At nightfall, the changing colors of the trees, hills, and snow-capped peaks of the distance leave pleasant memories and delight photographers.

    13. Day 13 Trek from Thulo Shyabru to Thulo Barkhu 3 hours and drive back to Kathmandu (1300m). 5hour

      From Thulo Syabru we walk on familiar paths for around 3 hours before we reach Thulo Barkhu. This marks the final stretch of walking for us because after reaching here we will take a private vehicle and drive back to the hustle and bustle of the Kathmandu valley. You can shop for gifts and souvenirs upon reaching Kathmandu.

    14. Day 14 Final Departure to International Airport,

      We will drive you back to Tribhuvan International Airport for your scheduled flight to your destination.

    Hotels, Tea Houses and Lodges

    Accommodation in Kathmandu will be in a 3 or 4-star hotel.

    Accommodation during the trek will be in tea house or lodges. Some accommodations at lower altitudes offer fully equipped rooms with electricity, western toilet facility, wi-fi, and hot showers. Whereas some tea houses, especially at the higher altitude offer very basic kind of services.

    You will be accommodated on a twin-basis during the trek. Most single rooms have twin beds with some basic furniture like a small table or a chair. If you want a single room for yourself, let us know in advance before the trek.

    Normally, beds contain pillow and sheets. Almost all tea houses provide blankets but it is advisable to use your sleeping bag which will be provided by us in case it becomes too cold.

    Some tea houses especially those at lower altitudes have proper western toilets. As you move higher some tea houses use squat toilet facilities. Also, it is important to know that some tea houses do not provide toilet paper in the toilets.

    In higher altitudes, you will usually have to pay extra for charting electronic devices or taking a hot shower. Laundry services are also available in some lodges at an extra price. Wifi cards can also be bought at these lodges. There are multiple options available depending on the data limit and speed.
