    1. Day 01 Arrival in Lhasa City (3,650m) of Tibet via Flight or Train

      On your arrival at Lhasa city via the airport or train, you will see our representative waiting to pick you up. After welcoming, you will be transferred to the hotel and checked in. Take rest for a while! Later, our team will meet you for tour schedule and a short introduction with the team and your tour guide. For the rest of the day, you can roam around the city. Get the first glimpse of this popular city. Enjoy the different taste of food in Tibet! For those who arrive late at Lhasa, the tour orientation will be organized on the next day.     2. Day 02 First Day Lhasa Tour

      The first day of Lhasa sightseeing includes Potala Palace, Norbulingka Palace, Jokhang temple, and Tibetan Museum. After morning breakfast, we will first visit the world’s highest palace; Potala. This palace offers you the spectacular views of entire Lhasa as well as represent the antique style building. We will then visit the most sacred temple; Jokhang. This temple is a spiritual center of Tibetan people. Norbulingka Palace and the Tibetan Museum will be our next destination after having lunch. Norbulingka Palace is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site which has large, artificial, and beautiful gardens.

    3. Day 03 Second Day Lhasa Tour

      Today, we will visit three famous monasteries; Sera, Ganden, and Drepung as well as the ancient street of Lhasa; Barkhor. After having morning breakfast, we will begin our sightseeing tour from Sera monastery. Sera monastery has a large and beautiful garden of rose which offers you the views of high Himalayan ranges. This monastery also represents the centuries-old arts, monuments, and captivating traditional paintings. After having lunch, we will visit Drepung Monastery which is the largest monastery in Tibet. Lastly, we will visit Barkhor Street, the busiest street of Lhasa.

    4. Day 04 Drive from Lhasa to Gyantse (3,900m) and Shigatse (4,000m)

      In the early morning, we will travel to Gyantse via Yamdrok lake. Locals believe that this lake is a renovation of a goddess. While traveling, you will witness the views of beautiful holy lakes, snow-capped peak of Ninjingkangsang, and Karola Glacier. After arriving at Gyantse, we will visit the largest stupa; Kumpa (ten thousand stupas) and Pelcho monastery. After having lunch, we will drive to Shigatse.

    5. Day 05 Drive from Shigatse to Lhasa

      Shigatse is the second largest city of Tibet and is home to the Tashilhunpo monastery. After having breakfast, we will visit this monastery which was built in 1447 by the first Dalai Lama among many Dalai Lamas of the Tibet. This monastery is traditionally the seat of the Panchen Lama. During the visit to the monastery, you will come to know the exciting story about the relationship between Dalai Lama and Panchen Lama. Later, we will return to Lhasa via train.

    6. Day 06 Departure from Lhasa via Flight or Train

      According to your travel schedule and plan, we will depart from Tibet to our onward destination. Have a safe journey!

    Hotels, Tea Houses and Lodges

    Accommodation in Kathmandu will be in a 3 or 4-star hotel.

    Accommodation during the trek will be in tea house or lodges. Some accommodations at lower altitudes offer fully equipped rooms with electricity, western toilet facility, wi-fi, and hot showers. Whereas some tea houses, especially at the higher altitude offer very basic kind of services.

    You will be accommodated on a twin-basis during the trek. Most single rooms have twin beds with some basic furniture like a small table or a chair. If you want a single room for yourself, let us know in advance before the trek.

    Normally, beds contain pillow and sheets. Almost all tea houses provide blankets but it is advisable to use your sleeping bag which will be provided by us in case it becomes too cold.

    Some tea houses especially those at lower altitudes have proper western toilets. As you move higher some tea houses use squat toilet facilities. Also, it is important to know that some tea houses do not provide toilet paper in the toilets.

    In higher altitudes, you will usually have to pay extra for charting electronic devices or taking a hot shower. Laundry services are also available in some lodges at an extra price. Wifi cards can also be bought at these lodges. There are multiple options available depending on the data limit and speed.
