"Last Forbidden Kingdom."The trek to Upper Mustang is a remarkable
experience. The Tibetan Buddhist monarchy, which was off-limits to foreigners
until the early 1990s, is reached by this walk.
Nature & Adventure
Tibet has a vital role in
Mustang history. Prior to being a part of Nepal, this area was a part of Tibet
for millennia. This walk will reach a maximum elevation of 4,100 meters. We
will come across ochre, brown, and red-tinged mineral landscapes that are
interesting.
The first part of the hike is
rather straightforward and goes through many villages. We spent two days at Lo
Manthang, one of which was devoted to the incredible hike to the
2007-discovered Konchok Ling cave. On the way back, the Paha Pass (4220 m) and
Gyu la (4077 m) come after the high passes.
The "Kingdom of Lo" (Mustang) and its capital are the trek's main highlights. We'll explore the walled city and its charming alleys. We visit the three gompas in the city. We will visit the Champa Lhakang palace, where visitors may occasionally request to see Mustang's ruler, Jigme Dorje Wangchuk. The Tupchen and Choede monasteries and the museum. There will be occasions when you can browse little ornaments being sold by merchants. We can spend the afternoon exploring the peaceful and uncharted North-West neighborhood of Lo Manthang, which is close to the city but hasn't received much attention from visitors. To visit the first king's fort, Ame Pal, we embarked on a new ridge route.
Deep gorges, eroded cliffs,
rough terrain, and breathtaking vistas abound on the upper Mustang journey.
Additionally, you will be treated to expansive views of the Annapurna and
Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. You will have an amazing experience trekking to Upper
Mustang, which offers a distinctive fusion of natural beauty and cultural
legacy.
